our history
Richard Gibbon and Bonnie Harvey founded Gibvey Pain Clinic from an idea, back when Richard and Bonnie met at Sutherland-Chan Massage School in Toronto, Ontario in 1990. After graduating, they opened a clinic in Etobicoke and Gibvey Pain Clinic was born.
Over the years Gibvey has developed into a pain management and teaching clinic for healthcare professionals from many disciplines, such as, osteopathy, massage therapy, shiatsu therapy, acupuncture, reflexology, homeopathy, traditional Chinese medicine herbs and holistic nutrition. In 2004, Bonnie and Richard went national with Gibvey when they moved and established a clinic in Sechelt, British Columbia. Sechelt is a growing community north of Vancouver, nestled between the Pacific Ocean and Vancouver Island. Visit the Gibvey - Sechelt website at: http://www.gibvey.ca.
Richard is currently developing his latest venture while continuing to see patients in both Sechelt and Toronto. You can view Richard's latest venture at: http://www.thepeoplefixer.com.
In 2012, Bonnie and Richard sold the Toronto practice to team members Mary Gardiner, Matthew Teeand Felixe Cote. While the ownership has changed, the philosophies have not. We continue to provide outstanding, client-centered care with the aim to address the root cause of your pain; and not just the symptoms.
